JOB TITLE: Computer Systems Specialist
LOCATION: Syracuse, NY
PAY RATE: Up to $50/hour

Summary:

Maintain and support specialized production floor systems, including hardware, software, and networking infrastructure.

Monitor and ensure system stability, performance, and security.

Coordinate with the IT department to align with company-wide technology standards and policies.

Provide day-to-day technical assistance to production personnel.

Create and maintain user manuals, training materials, and technical documentation.

Partner with production teams to ensure systems meet operational needs.

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance system efficiency and support productivity.

Enforce and support company cybersecurity protocols.

Collaborate with IT to implement necessary safeguards and conduct regular system assessments.

Lead projects related to system upgrades, implementations, and migrations.

Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and contractors to ensure timely and successful project delivery.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.

5+ years in a manufacturing environment with a focus on IT systems and networks.

Proficiency in managing Windows and Linux-based systems.

Solid understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).

Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and IT compliance.

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.

Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
