About the role:
Junior VAT Analyst entails dealing with supporting internal VAT checks improvement tasks and will be involved in compliance activities in the VAT area according to internal procedures and Policies (VAT coding and reporting)
Your responsibilities:
- Taking part in creating new ESSC VAT checks;
- Gathering information from all locations involved in the transactions to validate the correctness of used tax code and other VAT compliance data;
- Taking part in ESSC VAT projects to optimize controls of compliance under the supervision of the VAT Process Lead;
- Analyzing and identifying improvement opportunities in the VAT area within the ESSC scope (AP, T&E, InterCo and AR).
- Participating in the process of creating training materials;
- Providing operational support to the new Avalara users;
- Preparing instructions, SOPs, procedures, and other required process documentation.
- Resolving AP and AR errors based on analysis and identifying transactions from a VAT perspective and assigning relevant tax codes;
- Supporting VAT Process Leads in daily VAT analyses and tasks
What makes you a good fit for this role?
- Preferred minimum 1 year Accounting/Finance experience
- VAT knowledge is not required.

- Proficiency in PC skills (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
