Airbus has embarked on a digital transformation journey & Digital at Airbus India  is playing a major role to enable this through multiple digital capabilities and technologies. This transformation includes new global governance, new ways of working and the implementation of digital business services and platforms managed by Airbus Functional Design - Scientific computing Department.

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated LSF Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize our LSF & LSF-ACE (Physical Design) workload management environment powered by IBM Spectrum. He/She will be responsible for the administration of LSF clusters across both Linux , Windows and Unix Server platforms, ensuring high availability, performance, and efficient utilization of windows computing resources for critical research, engineering, or business applications. Success of this position will require strong international collaboration with global Airbus teams, Business, Customers using LSF & LSF-ACE machines.

Qualification & Experience: 

• 8 to 10 years of working experience in integration solutions using IBM Load Sharing Facility concepts across  heterogeneous Linux, Windows and Unix server environments.

• Strong expertise on LSF concepts, administration,  multi-cluster queueing mechanism, etc.

• Knowledge of fair-share, LSF product family - PAC, PPM, DM, LS, LSF Explorer is a must.

• Manage LSF configuration E2E & proven experience of deploying ACE on platforms.

• Proficient in securing integrations using OAutstrong, OpenID Connect, and SAML.

• Strong hands-on experience of Installation, configuration, tuning, troubleshooting and administration of: Multi-vendor servers running numerous COTS, open source, and in-house applications to accommodate HPC Division IT support requirement.

• Proven experience as an LSF Administrator or in a similar Scheduler administration role.

• Demonstrated expertise in administering, configuring, and troubleshooting IBM Spectrum LSF.

• Strong system administration skills in Linux/Windows (e.g., RHEL, Windows) including Active Directory integration, package management, scripting and remote management tools .

• Experience with workload scheduling concepts, resource management, and job accounting in distributed environments.

• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell) for automation and reporting.

• Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewall rules) in a cluster environment.

• Familiarity with shared storage systems (e.g., NFS, SMB/CIFS) and their integration with various types of servers.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Collaborative team player with strong communication and a proactive attitude. Ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical users.  

• Excellent interpersonal skills, a solution-oriented mindset, and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to engage with business and technical stakeholders to align architecture goals.

• Deep understanding of enterprise integration patterns and messaging standards.

• Good to have working knowledge on Splunk.

• Good to have knowledge on Agile ways of working and working with Jira tool and Service Now

Responsibilities: 

• Design scalable integration architectures & solutions using IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) & operate LSF9 & 10 clusters & lead end-to-end integration across enterprise systems.

• Collaborate with business and IT teams to translate requirements into integration designs.

• Mentor developers and ensure technical consistency across integration projects.

• Conduct performance tuning and troubleshooting of integration flows and messaging.

• Integrate security protocols (OAutstrong, SAML, etc.) into all integration touchpoints.

• Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation for ACE deployments.

• Define and implement reporting and monitoring KPI’s, long-term statistics (LSF Analytics replacement & Introduction of the LSF Explorer)

• Stay updated on industry trends and recommend improvements to integration strategy.

• Hold accountability of multi-site, high performance compute infrastructure for a global engineering product development organization 

• Develop and deliver an analytics framework driving the optimization and efficiency of our key engineering infrastructure resources Manage and optimize engineering GRID compute infrastructure 

• Manage LSF policies, queues, resource plans, and fairshare configurations to meet organizational priorities and user requirements.

• Integrate and manage computing resources (CPU, memory, GPU, storage, licenses) within the LSF framework.

• Provide technical support and guidance to users on job submission, resource requests, and LSF best practices across both platforms.

• Develop and maintain scripts (Bash, Python, PowerShell, etc.) for automation of LSF administration tasks, reporting, and monitoring.

• Plan and execute LSF upgrades, patches, and configuration changes with minimal disruption to service.

• Collaborate with system administrators, network engineers, storage teams, and application support personnel to ensure seamless operation of the HPC environment.

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for LSF configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

• Implement and maintain security best practices for the LSF environment on both Linux and Windows.

• Assist in performance tuning of LSF and underlying system components to optimize job throughput and resource utilization.
