SAP MDG MM Analyst - Master Data Governance Lead

Responsibilities:

• Lead and facilitate workshops with Business and IT stakeholders to align on MM data governance and business rules.

• Support testing and automation teams through all phases of the project lifecycle.

• Collaborate with data conversion teams during data load and cutover, including pre/post load support.

• Develop configuration and functional design documents with clear process flows and integration requirements.

• Utilize the Data Replication Framework (DRF) for effective data transfer between systems.

• Apply MDG Consolidation and Mass Processing techniques for large-scale data updates and validations.

• Define data quality and deduplication rules to improve master data integrity.

• Troubleshoot and resolve SAP MDG MM production issues.

• Participate in cutover activities, including Redbook entries and transport validation.

• Ensure strict governance through the change request process with appropriate controls.

• Collaborate with business units to ensure consistency, compliance, and accuracy in MM data across all functions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.

• 6+ years of experience as an SAP MDG MM Analyst.

• Full lifecycle implementation experience with SAP S/4HANA MDG.

• Proficiency in:

  • SAP MM Master Data management

  • E2E Master Data processes

  • MDG configuration, workflow, FPM, validation & derivation rules, BRF+

• Experience in enterprise-level SAP conversion projects across multiple domains.

• Strong understanding of SAP MDG data models and integration points

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of the broader SAP ecosystem: S/4HANA, MDG, GTS, ECC.

• Understanding of SAP Best Practices for master and transactional data.

• Familiarity with the SAP Activate methodology.

• Strong grounding in data management principles and data governance frameworks.
