Position Overview:
Boeing India Engineering & Technology Center (BIETC) is based in Bangalore, India and is engaged in the development of advanced aerospace and aviation technologies and software products.
We are seeking a highly skilled Test Verification Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing and verification, with a focus on automation and compliance with DO-178C standards. This role requires proficiency in programming, particularly in Python and Linux Shell scripting, as well as a solid understanding of various communication protocols.
This role will be based out of Bangalore, India.
Position Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain automated test scripts using Python and Linux Shell scripting to enhance testing efficiency and coverage.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand software requirements and translate them into test cases and automated tests.
- Design and develop a test automation framework that aligns with the DO-178C V&V life cycle, ensuring compliance with safety-critical software standards.
- Automate manual test cases, ensuring thorough validation of software functionality and performance.
- Conduct testing of various communication protocols, including WIFI6, Cellular, ARINC, Discretes, and Ethernet, to ensure robust system integration and performance.
- Analyze test results, document findings, and provide actionable insights to improve product quality.
- Participate in peer reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the testing process.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in testing methodologies and tools.

Basic Qualification:
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher is required as a BASIC QUALIFICATION
- Proven experience in software testing and verification, with a focus on automation.
- Strong programming skills in Python and experience with Linux Shell scripting.
- In-depth knowledge of the DO-178C V&V life cycle and its application in safety-critical software development.
- Experience in developing test automation frameworks and automating manual test cases.
- Familiarity with various communication protocols, including WIFI6, Cellular, ARINC, Discretes, and Ethernet testing.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications: (Desired Skills/Experience)
- Experience with test management tools and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
- Knowledge of additional programming languages or testing tools is a plus.
- Relevant certifications in software testing or quality assurance.
Typical Education & Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 4 years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master + 3 years related work experience.)
