About This Role
The Sea Systems team in Hunt Valley is seeking a motivated, self-driven, and organized Project Engineer to join our growing group, working on innovative products within the maritime robotics domain. Current focal areas include autonomous control, advanced payload integration, vision systems, and other emerging technologies to enhance our unmanned surface vehicle platforms’ capabilities.
This interdisciplinary role involves supporting the full life cycle development of our products, including new product development, product upgrades, payload design, integration and test, and fielding solutions for military and commercial customers. The ideal candidate will have experience in hardware and/or software integration, managing requirements derivation and allocation, and working successfully within a collaborative team environment. A strong desire to take ownership of design efforts to ensure the integration of new technology into our vehicles is essential.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Program Management to support the following:
Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates and resource plans.
Monitor and track project progress to support completion on time and within budget.
Proactively identify, assess, and prioritize technical risks; develop and implement risk mitigation plans; regularly review and update risk status.
Develop and deliver required technical CRDLs.
Collaborate with multidiscipline team members to define scope, timeline, deliverables and resources needed to complete each task effectively.
Coordinate with functional managers to secure and allocate cross-functional team resources, ensuring workload balance and optimal task completion.
Support program execution, focused on the following:
Assess project requirements and determine project goals and objectives to ensure successful completion of projects.
Plan and oversee the integration of hardware and software solutions coordinating unit, prototype, and system level testing.
Lead problem solving, troubleshooting, and RCCA efforts to resolve any technical difficulties encountered during development or fielding.
Coordinate with supply chain, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure timely and cost-effective product production, maintaining quality and on-time delivery.
Lead customer engagement to gather, clarify, and validate design specifications, through participation in working groups, Change Control Boards (CCBs), IPT meetings, and direct communications.
Develop proposals (cost and technical) and basis of estimates for new business opportunities.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering with 5 years of related experienceOR
Master’s Degree in Engineering or Management discipline with 3 year(s) of related experience.
Technical Skills:
Development of systems architectures and concepts of operations.
Experience in program planning, control account management, and risk management.
Experience in leading internal and external programmatic and technical reviews.
Experience with hardware and/or software integration, managing requirements derivation and allocation, or architecture design.
Experience with requirements management and analysis..
Experience with proposal processes, authoring, and basis of estimate review.
Experience in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment is preferred.
Experience with integrated supply chain and production is preferred.
Soft Skills:
Effective and efficient writing and presentation skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with others.
Demonstrated self-starter with organizational, planning, and follow-up skills.
A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio).

Active Secret Clearance preferred; Secret Clearance eligibility required.
Annual Salary Ranges
Level II
Annual Minimum Rate $88,200.00
Annual Maximum Rate $133,000.00
Level III
Annual Minimum Rate $110,500.00
Annual Maximum Rate $167,900.00

In compliance with the local pay transparency law, the pay range for this position is
88,000 - 167,900 per year.
