Job overview and responsibilities

As a Senior Technical Test Engineer for DevOps and Code Quality, you will be responsible for creating & enhancing our continuous integration and delivery testing processes, ensuring the highest quality of code, and maintaining a robust testing framework.

As part of this role, you will work closely with the application development and DevOps teams to incorporate code quality tools (e.g., SonarQube) into the deployment pipeline, enhancing quality and maintainability of code. You will also be responsible for ensuring the consistent and successful execution of testing suites—including sanity, functional, regression, and integration tests—as an integral part of the continuous testing process for each code deployment.

  • Partner with the application development teams to incorporate testing suites—including sanity, functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end tests—into the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Implement a code quality tool, such as SonarQube, with industry-standard rules into the CI/CD process to ensure that code is scanned for duplication, maintainability, and unit testing with each deployment, while adhering to code quality standards.
  • Work with various application development teams to identify, evaluate, and address code quality issues and risks.
  • Expand test automation to include automated testing at every stage of the pipeline, thereby increasing automation coverage within sprints and enhancing the efficiency of regression testing.
  • Develop and implement strategies for ongoing enhancements in code quality and DevOps practices, ensuring they are practical and can be standardized across the organization.

This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded. This position is for United Airlines Business Services Pvt. Ltd - a wholly owned subsidiary of United Airlines Inc.
