Tracking Systems Engineer job in Huntsville, Alabama is available with Moseley Technical Services Top Space / Defense company. In this job you will be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for developing and deploying the state-of-the-art ground operational system.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with customers, mission partners, and key stakeholders to translate requirements into robust system designs within a fast-moving timeline.
- Decomposition of end-to-end system requirements into architecture, design, interfaces, and test cases
- Coordination with developers and integration and test teams to ensure component development meet system mission needs.
Qualifications:
- U.S. citizen with ability to obtain TS/SCI security clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics and 8+ years of experience, or a Masters degree plus 6+ years of experience.
- Background in simulation and modeling analysis with tools like STK, particularly in aerospace applications a plus
- Experience with MBSE methodologies and tools such as, CAMEO or MagicDraw
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, and MATLAB, including for software developer coordination, system analysis, prototype algorithm development, or modeling.
- Ground system design or scheduling knowledge; Tracking mission design knowledge; Satellite communications knowledge; Ground to Satellite communication knowledge; System/Software design for cloud-based microservice architecture
- Proficiency in systems engineering, decomposing requirements into architecture, internal and external interfaces, design behavior
- Experience decomposing the high-level space-ground systems design into ground software/systems design.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies and their application in system design and deployment.
