Job Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate expertise with all manual equipment within the machine shop including operation, preventative maintenance and repair on mills, lathes, and CNC machinery
- Fabricate tooling in support of in-house production needs
- Fabricate and repair high-tolerance aerospace parts
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering plans and other technical data
- Requisite and maintain raw materials and tools
- Coordinate with and support the CNC operator and other Machinists as necessary
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
- Must have completed a verifiable training program resulting in a degree or certificate relative to machinin
- Experience with Deburr, machine honing and surface grinding preferred
- Experience fabricating load bearing equipment using the MIG welding process preferred
Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrable experience with a broad array of manual machining equipment and non-digital precision measuring devices
- Proficient at reading blueprints, engineering plans and other technical data
- Able to machine parts to within 0.0005” tolerance
- Attention to detail
- Strong verbal, written and communication skills
- Proficient in reading, writing and speaking English
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Must exhibit a high level of confidentiality with work product
- Must have a strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a small team environment taking direction from the immediate supervisor
- Able to multi-task
- Efficient with a desire to succeed
- Ability to work any shift
