The MCR Project Leader is responsible for leading the entire contract reserve review process for assigned Material Cost Reconciliation (MCR) contracts. This includes providing technical modeling and financial leadership throughout the process including analysis of contract forecasts and trends to drive timely improvement actions, and analysis of risks and opportunities.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Execute on MCR technical modeling including Financial Reserves, Contract Performance Reviews, Annual Reconciliation and Final Contract Reconciliation
  • Support establishment of standard work, daily management, problem solving, and action planning to achieve KPIs, enabled by the application of FLIGHT DECK. 
  • Engage horizontally with Customer Program Manager, Finance, Engineering, Risk, Sales and Product Line Lead to continuously identify risks, opportunities and Technical/Commercial Action pipeline to increase contract profitability
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of a technical model along with understanding of financial impact to the contract
  • Perform detailed Actualization root cause analysis and explain in a clear concise manner
  • Identify contract operational drivers and leading indicators of pressure, share with broader team and work to develop risk mitigation plans
  • Complete commercial/technical action modeling and strategic view/impact in a timely fashion meeting business needs
  • Use high level of judgment to make decisions. Demonstrate ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and can construct and provide recommendations. Uses internal and if needed sources outside of own function to help arrive at a recommendation and decision.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of relevant work experience.)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Services and Margin Review Management .

Desired Characteristics

  • Demonstrated understanding and application of FLIGHT DECK
  • Understanding of CSA and T&M contracts (underwriting, contractual language, administration/management of CSA contracts)
  • Demonstrated influencing, change management, problem solving, communication skills and working across cross functional teams.
