Quality Inspector
Perform a series of basic operations using a variety of hand tools, power tools, fixtures, work instructions and test equipment to properly assemble sheet metal aircraft components. Inspect completed work for conformance to Production Planning, verbal and written instructions, sketches and specifications.
Inspects and checks parts to ensure compliance with documents, standards, and customer requirements under the direction of certified inspectors or supervisor.
Functions and Responsibilities:
- Complete training modules 1-6 or demonstrate understanding of and the ability to complete the following: Paperwork Review and Documentation, Non-Conformances, Dimensional Inspection, Visual Inspection, Visual Weld Inspection, and Drawing Interpretation.
- Visually inspect or check parts using a variety of precision measuring instruments.
- Check dimensions and finishes against sketches, blueprints, manufacturing planning and specifications.
- Perform all work in accordance with established standards and safety procedures.
- Any other duties as assigned to help drive our vision, fulfill our commitments, and carry out our organizations virtues.
Qualifications:
- Requires high school level mathematics skills and basic problem-solving ability.
- Requires familiarity with machine tools and precision instruments.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing planning and sketches.
- Has limitations but knows what they are and knows when to stop; seeks help in determining appropriate interpretations.
Working Conditions
- Demonstrate proper and safe operation of equipment, and personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, safety glasses/full face shield, hearing protection, heat reflective body garments and gloves as required.
Physical Requirements
- The assembler performs physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and frequent movement of the whole body, such as climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, balancing and handling of material.

- Pay Range: $18.50/hr. - $28.25/hr.
