STS Technical Services is hiring a highly skilled Senior Aircraft Maintenance Controller in Erlanger, Kentucky. In this key position, you will serve as the primary point of contact for aircraft out-of-service conditions, managing maintenance operations and ensuring safe, compliant, and reliable aircraft performance across the Atlas Air and Polar Air fleets.

Overview:
As a Senior Maintenance Controller, you’ll be based in the Global Control Center and serve as the go-to contact for all maintenance-related communications. Your role is pivotal in coordinating maintenance action plans, assessing the operational impact of discrepancies, and ensuring efficient, safe return-to-service outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate maintenance activities, tooling, and parts support with vendors and internal departments
- Manage repairs for aircraft and engines that exceed vendor capabilities, overseeing execution through completion
- Serve as a liaison between Line Maintenance, Major Maintenance, Engineering, and Fleet Management
- Implement and manage aircraft repair action plans in real time
- Hold authority to remove aircraft from service if maintenance standards are not met
- Provide technical guidance and decision-making on complex maintenance and procedural issues
- Research and submit Service Difficulty Reports (SDRs); liaise with the FAA as needed
- Identify and troubleshoot chronic aircraft problems and develop corrective action plans
- Maintain detailed turnover logs to ensure seamless communication between shifts
- Provide on-the-job training to Maintenance Control Specialists
- Travel with aircraft to evaluate maintenance concerns when necessary
- Deliver clear briefings to MCC Duty Managers and upper management regarding aircraft in maintenance
Required Qualifications:
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License required
- Minimum of 5 years of airline maintenance experience, ideally with wide-body aircraft
- Working knowledge of maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, illustrated parts catalogs, and structural repair manuals
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Skilled at managing workload under pressure in a 24/7 operational environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Windows-based software applications (minimum 1 year of experience)
