C&SC Part Transition Leader
Job Description:
The Part Transition Leader (SPB2) leads end-to-end insourcing of combustor and structural components into internal shops, ensuring readiness across machining/fabrication, welding/braze, heat treat, coatings, and inspection. They coordinate cross-functional teams (Manufacturing Engineering, Quality/NDT, Special Process, Planning, Materials, Sourcing) to execute PPAP/FAI, validate routings/BOMs, and qualify special processes and gaging. The role drives NC program prove-outs, fixture and tooling procurement, and capacity planning while managing inventory bridging to protect deliveries during transition. Using tiered daily management, they mitigate risks and implement lessons learned to accelerate subsequent launches. Success is measured by on-time transition milestones, launch-to-rate, first-pass yield, CTQ capability, and adherence to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost targets.
