About the role:

Lead teams of Technicians, Masons, Plumber, Carpenter and Assistant Technicians to carry out preventive, corrective maintenance works and minor project works effectively in accordance to working procedure, safety procedures and standard best practise to complete in stipulated time as required by management for ensuring smooth operation at Airport. Responsible for the site supervision, co-ordination, inspections and takeover of works undertaken by outsourced vendors, suppliers and term contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of technician, masons, plumber, carpenter and assistant technician in all activities concerned projects and maintenance works in accordance to best standard practice and construction specification.
• Optimize resources (manpower, equipment, material) usage to ensure efficient and timely completion of task or works.
• Demonstrate excellent labour management skills, following policies, procedures, best work practices and developing improvements where necessary to improve manpower utilization.
• Planning day to day work with monitor and track daily progress and work completed, comparing planned to actual, takes appropriates mitigating action to ensure compliance with the scheduled plan.
• Ensure the subordinates understand and implement the work plan by engaging in pro-active communication to create best working environment.
• Review quantities of material, tools and spare part used and received during specific periods, in order to minimize wastage, shortage and inefficiency.
• Able to give instructions and transfer knowledge in an efficient and effective way to co-workers to ensure minimum interruption during works performed.
• Command with respect of his leader, co-workers, skilled labour and other discipline workforce, and develops excellent working relationships with all other department personnel.
• Liaise and co-ordinates with other disciplines staff to ensure the optimum interface of the various operational activities with the overall objective of successful completion project/task in time.
• Competent in reading and understandings specifications, drawing, operation & manual, PM checklist and all others discipline related project and engineering documentations in order to understand and compliance with task requirements.
• To ensure that all the work performed by sub-ordinates is in conformity to standards and specifications outline by regularly check to ensure safety and quality of the works.
• Assist identifies and implement on job training program with the aim developing and improving team members competency in required skills and abilities.
• Brief and guide co-workers in tool box talk to comply with the highest level of safety during all stages of project execution to avoid any types of accident or incidents occur.
• Assist in identifying material to be order in advance and submit purchase requisition for processing requests to order materials promptly and accurately.
• Monitor tools and electrical equipment in proper working conditions at all time and inform Technical Officer of any unsafe conditions in order to avoid unwanted incident.
• Maintain accurate logs and records and prepare reports for the Technical Officer covering work activities completed by the team in order to update Management on all work orders and projects.
• Ensure adherence to the standard practices of quality and safety in accordance to the maintenance standards, specification and safety management system.
• Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

About you:

• High School Qualification/ Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role) with minimum 3 years of job-related experience.
• Bachelors Degree or Equivalent with minimum 2 years of job-related experience.
• Project Management experience, especially Civil, but limited Mechanical and Electrical will be beneficial.
• Deliver Complex Civil Projects and resolving project related concerns.
• Experience in carrying out Civil works, especially, masonry, plumbing, tiling, carpentry.
• Managing Staff and delegation of work.
• Providing Material lists and procurement procedures.
