Inventory/Parts and Logistics Manager
Job Description:

Responsible for keeping parts inventory on hand to support our mechanics. To perform functions assigned in the material accountability of pre-draw and ordering of material for and during aircraft maintenance projects. Strong shipping/receiving and supply management background
Responsible for keeping records of all products shipped and received, pack the goods,
develop mailing labels, and shipping documents and ensure that all orders have been filled correctly.

Primary Job Duties:

  • Warehouse/Stockroom Inventory Cycle Counts
  • Utilize internal computer program to issue, return, process parts/tooling from stock
  • Drive Company Vehicle to Airport Gates for AOG and Roadtrips
  • Verify, Pull and Prepare Shipments/Receipts
  • Data Entry including but not limited to: Emails, Inventory Counts, Creating Requisitions
  • Supervise forklift operations for loading and unloading shipments.
  • Sweep, Mop and keep up with the organization of the warehouse/stockrooms
  • Reviews all departments, non-routine documentation to identify and order parts and materials required to correct discrepancy.
  • Track ordered parts and materials and coordinate with operations personnel to establish accurate & need-by dates.
  • Process off unit requirements to include disposition for repair/overhaul/replacement.
  • Communicate with customer representatives to identify customer furnished material and enter and allocate appropriate purchase orders in material tracking system.
  • Coordinates with purchasing and operations to swiftly resolve informational requests.
  • Tracks the ordering and delivery process of project critical parts and material; notifies applicable personal of receiving priorities per operational requirements.
  • Research and report on incorrectly ordered or unused parts and materials.
  • Research onsite material stock and reserve items where applicable before ordering.
  • Attends Production/Maintenance briefings and reports number of maintenance requests requiring verification.
  • Anticipates problems and works to proactively mitigate them.
  • Reports to Maintenance Management Team
  • Ensures product shipped to/from the site meet all applicable 14 CFR Part 121/145 requirements
  • Inspects the in-bound/out-bound material for damage and proper documentation
  • Packages out-bound shipments by using best commercial practices
  • Inspects OEM or FAA Form 8130-3 / certificate of conformance documentation for originality and serial number
  • Manage and control Government property and materials in IMOPS.
  • Package materials for transportation, including HAZMAT materials IAW PWS requirements.
  • All other duties as assigned by managers.
Job Requirements:
  • Knowledge of rotorcraft parts preferred
  • Must pass a background check and have a clean driving record
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Post-secondary education or training in aircraft maintenance or equivalent combination of education, training or experience required.

Experience: Three to five years’ experience in aircraft maintenance required.

Certificates/Licenses: A&P License preferred. Current valid driver’s license with clean driving record (must be approved by company insurance).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to organize and plan work adhering to deadlines; work under pressure, attention to detail and mathematical skills; ability to read, write, and understand the English language and to follow verbal and written instruction; ability to evaluate and solve problems, must be in good standing with the company if internal application,  ability to interpret and apply technical data; ability to safely drive and operate a standard shift automotive vehicle and other applicable equipment; ability to work with or without supervision.

  • Must be able to lift 60 pounds routinely, with or without a reasonable accommodation

  • Must be able to work holidays, nights and weekends
  • Requires sitting for extended periods of time. Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, squatting, climbing, and reaching above shoulder level. Requires occasional crawling, crouching, kneeling, or balancing.
  • Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling weight up to 10 pounds. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
  • In addition, this position requires the use of a computer, intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching, and bending throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to see and hear, or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to assure that the requirements of this position can be fully met.

Equipment Operated: Man lift, scissor lift, fork lift, computer terminal, basic office equipment.

Work Location: Aircraft maintenance hangar, maintenance office, flight line, field.

Protective Equipment Required: Safety glasses, ear protection and foot protection.

Potential Hazards: Exposure to high intensity noise levels, changes in temperature, materials identified on Safety Data Sheets, working around moving machinery.
