Role Description:
Plans, schedules, and coordinates maintenance functions across PACE Facilities located at Patrick Space Force Base to include direct coordination with B-3 and the Civil Engineer Squadron for submitting and tracking of work orders. Primary focus is the hands-on day to day repairs of these facilities especially routine plumbing, carpentry, electrical and general handyman work providing maintenance of buildings and grounds. Ensures that all utility systems are fully operational and are inspected in accordance with preventive maintenance schedules. Assist in preparing cost estimates for building renovations or space allocations and inspects completed work for conformance to specifications. Works closely with PACE Safety to prioritize critical safety related repairs and on a case by case basis oversee any outside workers at PACE.
Key Responsibility:
- Collaborates with Operations and Maintenance Managers and Safety, identifies facility needs, and obtains necessary details to develop proper plans and scheduling
- Coordinates with PMO on proposals and quotes from vendors and negotiates for best value and works with Procurement and Accounts Payable to issue purchase orders and payments
- Identifies cost effective solutions in all activities, while maintaining quality and timeliness
- Participates and supports planning, construction, start up, remodel, relocation, move, and closure of facilities
- May supervise custodial services
- Coordinates with Environmental, Safety, and Health staff for compliance with OSHA and ADA
- Coordinates space planning, supply needs, and other activities with Building Managers, Engineers, and/or Landlords as needed
- May direct workers engaged in painting projects; performing structural repairs to masonry, woodwork, and furnishings of buildings; and maintaining and repairing building utility systems, such as electrical wiring and controls, heating and ventilating systems
- Performs handyman tasks and physical hands on work including minor repairs, installations, hanging pictures, and moving furniture and equipment
- Perform other duties as assigned
