Collins Aerospace Applied Research and Technology currently has a student internship opportunity in the Electrical Systems team for 6 months with an immediate start. In this role, you will help fulfil this mission by providing impactful results on upcoming technology, and you will do so in a collaborative environment. The team are an international group with great talent who are passionate and knowledgeable about power electronics.
And no, you don’t need to come from aerospace to work in our Electrical Systems team. We can work with your power electronics skills and give you an applied background in aerospace systems and propulsion architectures.

We seek candidates with proven research credentials in the power electronics domain to join the Electrical Systems discipline for Collins Aerospace Applied Research and Technology in Cork, Ireland.
This internship program will focus on the analysis, trade-off, simulation, control and design of power electronics systems for aircraft hybrid/electric propulsion. Specific challenges about this application, such as reliability, power density and power quality will also be tackled.
Qualifications and required experience/skills
Preferred software skills: Matlab/Simulink, PSIM, SPICE software and language (PSpice, LTpsice), Altium, Ansys, programming of microcontrollers and DSPs, VHDL description.
