The selected candidate will function as a member of Grounds Section team assisting in the landscaping maintenance and upkeep of Keesler AFB grounds.
Responsibilities
- Use zero-turn riding mowers to cut grass
- Use weed eaters and edging tools to perform grounds maintenance finishing work
- Use chain saws, hedge trimmers, clippers and other hand tools to maintain shrubs and trees
- Care for flower beds, shrubs, and trees
- Perform general grounds policing for leaves, litter, and other clean up
- Perform other related grounds upkeep duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Two years of related work experience
- Knowledge of the practices, methods, tools, and equipment of the ground maintenance trade
- Knowledge of the hazards and standard safety precautions of the trade
- Possess a valid Mississippi Driver’s License
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience performing similar work on a military base
