Contract Length: 12 months (with potential extension)

Summary:
Perform tasks in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical fields
Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, diagnose, and maintain equipment, components, devices, and systems
Work from schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions
Operate related equipment, conduct tests, and record data in prescribed formats
Perform calibration and alignment checks; make adjustments and replacements as needed
Prepare prescribed compounds and solutions
Support the Redstone Arsenal STORM Project Office
Maintain and troubleshoot M270A1 and HIMARS Launchers
Test ATACMS, GMLRS, HELLFIRE, and Javelin missiles
Write final reports and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Note: This role excludes technicians working strictly in production or quality assurance
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required
Familiarity with gasoline and diesel engines
Strong vehicle troubleshooting skills
Knowledge of Redstone Arsenal, AL operations
Experience working with engines and diesel engines
Experience working on military vehicles such as Bradley, HIMARS, MLRS, HUMVEE, and HEMTT
Diesel mechanic experience with bulldozers and/or large diesel engines
Preferred experience with both gasoline and diesel engines
Safety shoes are required for this position
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
