STS Technical Services is hiring a Plasma / Burn Table Operator in Brookfield, Wisconsin, to support operations at Cutting Edge Fabrication — a growing company known for producing high-quality metal weldments for industries like transportation, defense, and aerospace.

About the Role:
As a Plasma / Burn Table Operator, you’ll be responsible for programming and running a computer-controlled plasma cutting machine to cut steel plate and sheet material to exact specifications. This is a hands-on role requiring mechanical skill, blueprint reading, and precision in handling heavy materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program and set up plasma cutting machines based on production specs
- Select and install appropriate consumables based on material type and thickness
- Load raw materials onto the cutting table using an overhead crane
- Operate forklifts and lift trucks to move materials safely
- Inspect cut parts using tape measures, calipers, and other precision tools
- Clean, grind, and deburr cut pieces as needed
- Read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings
- Complete job-related paperwork and production documentation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Required Qualifications:
- Proven ability to read tape measures, blueprints, and technical drawings
- Familiarity with inspection tools such as calipers and gauges
- Comfortable using basic shop math and computer-controlled equipment
- Ability to operate forklifts and overhead cranes safely (certification preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality craftsmanship
