Pathfinder Aviation is seeking a qualified candidate to support the National Science Foundations research efforts based out of McMurdo Station for the austral summer of 2025/2026.  This pilot would serve as the alternate flying position for the first half of the project season (October through mid December) and then a primary flying position for the second half of the project season (mid December though mid March).  Training and Physical Qualification process for this position would start immediately upon hiring.  This position has the possibility of extending into the summer Alaska utility season if desired by the pilot.  Please do not apply if you do not meet the minimum experience listed below.

Minimum:

• 3000 hours PIC Helicopter
• 500 hours in AS350B3
• 250 hours B212
• 10 hours in AS350B3 in the last 12 months
• 10 hours in B212 in the last 12 months
• 100 hours helicopter in the last 12 months
• 150 hours longline/VR
• All part 135 experience minimums met
• Currently carded or immediately cardable in AS350 and B212 aircraft
• Arctic/Snow/Flat Light Experience
• High Elevation (>12,000 DA) Experience

Preferred:

• 5000+ hours PIC Helicopter
• 1000+ hours in AS350 and B212
• 500 hours Longline/VR
• Currently carded in AS350 and B212
• Heli Ski experience
• Multiple seasons of Alaska utility experience or previous Antarctica experience
