JOB SUMMARY


Responsible for all operations involving company aircraft, is in compliance with the Federal Aviation Regulations, Part 135, Air Evac EMS Operations Manual and all state or municipal regulations

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES


• Maintains a schedule as set forth by the company. Pilots are scheduled seven consecutive days on and seven consecutive days off. The shifts are 12-hours per day alternating with seven day shifts, seven days off, followed by seven night shifts.
• Ensures aircraft readiness for flight dispatches, these items to include, as described in the appropriate manuals, but not limited to: * All FAR requirements * All Company requirements* Aircraft cleanliness duties * All flight crew requirements
• Accurately completes, in entirety, all required paperwork duties, i.e., duty shift change form, load manifests, duty/time sheets, all within scheduled due dates.
• Continues in educational betterment, e.g., computer training, ground training and flight training.
• Ensures that any and all pertinent information about flight operations will be disseminated to his/her shift change.

• Conducts himself/herself in a professional manner at all times.
• Attends meetings when required and is available for training and check-flights outside of normal duty shift rotation.
• Upholds current company policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties during scheduled shift as requested by Vice President of Aviation or Chief Pilot.
• Maintains safety as the primary concern.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
 

 QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications
• Current FAA Rotorcraft-Helicopter Commercial Certificate with instrument rating
• Current FAA Second Class Medical Certificate

 

• 2,000 Total flight hours
• 1,500 Total helicopter Hours
• 1,000 total helicopter Pilot-in-Command hours
• 1,000 Turbine hours
• Minimum of 200 helicopter night flight hours (aided and/or unaided)
• 200 Instrument Hours (Actual/Hood/SIM) with 50 hours actual weather in aircraft

Preferred Experience:
• Airbus H135 experience
• Previous HAA experience

 

Pilot Incentives:

  • Geographical Modifier dependent on Base
  • On Duty Pilot Housing provided
  • $5,000 per year IFR Stipend

 

 

Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent

 

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

 

Working Conditions:

  • Required to work frequently near moving mechanical parts
  • Required to work in outside weather conditions
  • Frequently exposed to blood-borne pathogens or airborne particles
  • Exposed to loud noise levels requiring hearing protection while in-flight

Physical Demands:

  • 230-pound weight limit with flight suit and boots
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Frequently exposed to vibrations/turbulence
